About Andy’s Man Club
Andy’s Man Club (AMC) is a UK-registered charity founded in 2016 in Halifax after the tragic loss of Andy Roberts. Led by his mother Elaine and brother-in-law Luke Ambler, the charity exists to prevent male suicide by breaking the stigma around men’s mental health through open conversation and peer support.

Now a national movement, AMC runs over 240 free, volunteer-led talking groups, supporting more than 5,600 men weekly across England, Scotland, Wales and online.

What Happens at a Group
- Every Monday 7–9 pm (except bank holidays) men over 18 are welcome to attend — no booking, referral or charge required.

- Meetings are peer‑led in a non‑clinical, judgement‑free space. You can talk or just listen—no pressure.
- A typical meeting features a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. Sessions follow five simple questions (e.g. “How has your week been?”, “Anything to get off your chest?”) to facilitate open sharing.
Why It Matters
Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK. AMC aims to offer men a safe space to open up often to others who have faced similar struggles through regular connection and community.
Facilitators are volunteers who often joined the club initially as attendees—they’re trained to create a welcoming environment and help others feel at ease.

- Peterborough meets Mondays 7–9 pm at Hodgson Centre, 1 Hodgson Avenue, PE4 5EG. Drop in no booking needed.
- Locations in Leeds, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and dozens more are active.
